Streetlight race, what other bikes out there are compareable to the Warrior? Who can I expect to beat and lose to, assuming bikes are stock or **** near...

Guy with a VTX 1800 says he can take the Warrior, stock for stock...

Mine is bone stock...

Thanks,
Ryan

here's the info on 02 stock machines. You'll notice the V-Rod isn't there. With riders of equal ability the Warrior will take the V-Rod in the 1/8 mile, it should be close for the 1/4. I got the info below from a search on the forum.
According to the April 2002, Motorcycle cruiser magazine, volume 7, the 1/4 mile times/speeds on stock V twins are:
Mean streak: 13.89 sec at 93.52 MPH
Intruder 1400: 13.71 sec at 93.20 MPH
HD Super glide: 13.48 sec at 97.04 MPH
Victory v92c: 13.41 sec at 96.80 MPH
HD Deuce: 13.14 sec at 97.20 MPH
Honda VTX 1800: 12.91 sec at 101.57 MPH
Warrior: 12.71 sec at 103.00 MPH

Stop light to stop light you will be competative with anything out there and beat a vastmajority!![/emoticons/emotion-2.gif]

12.71 @ 103 - who was on the thing, Mark Underwood? There's no way me or anyone I know could get those kinds of 1/4 mile speeds from a stock Warrior. ****, thats fast!

Lil old lady, weighed about 75 pounds! Don't know, just passing on info someone else posted. It was undoubtedly an experienced rider working for the magazine, not just your average owner. I have to assume it was the same rider for each bike to cut down on the variables. Bottom line, really makes the Warrior look good. These are the figures I quote any time I'm asked![/emoticons/emotion-2.gif]

I pulled up next to some guy on a tricked out harley bagger. The guy wouldnt look over at me but when the light changed he punched it and pulled right in front of me reving his engine. I pulled up next to him at the next light and he still wouldnt look over at me but I figured he wanted to race from his actions at the last light (guess no one told him your supposed to look over and nod for a race) He had definately done some major engine work to this bike cause it was pretty fast. Well the light changed and I just let it go! tire spun through the whole intersection and when it hooked up I was gone! I could see him in my rearview and could hear his bike screamin, but he was beat bad. At the next light the guy pulls up next to me and still wont look over. He sits there and revs his engine staring straight ahead. Well I ruined him off the line again and now we were going right on a freeway on-ramp so I really killed him in the turn.(hes on a bagger whats he thinking?) I didnt see the guy until I noticed I was doin 98mph on the freeway and slowed down. Of course he goes by engine screamin. Poor guy probably went home and ordered 2 grand in performance parts.

I live for stories like that! My buddy has a wideglide, just dyno'd it at 100.1 HP to the rear tire. He thinks he can easily beat me. I need to still get it broke in, but I think I will be able to hold my own against him...

A race is supposed to be a friendly event. Not a d!ck measuring contest. If I get beat I just laugh about it, thumbs up or whatever. Some people get all pissed and want to fight you. Give me a break!

Ya know your right. I raced some guy on an old honda goldwing or something that was all stripped down. It looked like **** but was fast as f$%k! I still beat him(barely) but at the next light the guy was really cool and asked me about my bike. He told me he did alot of engine work himself and let the bike look so ugly to smoke fancy harley guys and humilate them. Crazy old guy but cool as ****.
Oh yeah, be sure to race your buddy on a road with some turns, youll kill him!
