You'd get more power out of the stacks....until your engine needs to be rebuilt from breathing in dirt and dust...stick with filters.

I had the stacks... and it gave me more power and a valve job I did not ask for ! Filteration is a must.

 

I third or fourth that motion. AIR FILTRATION. I did not go with the SpeedStar Air kit just for that reason. Gotta have air filtration. Love the function and looks of the PR kit. The PR velocity stack is a work of art. (Can get one from Bismarck)

I just put the speed* stacks on and am in the process of getting filters. I only paid $88 for the set new in the box. I figure with the money saved, I can order filters somewhere. One thing for sure, stacks wake the motor up in a big way.

i think there are a few members on this site bought the speed* air kit and bought some k&n's that would fit the stacks. they claimed it really kicked some butt, more over the others. i was thinkin' 'bout doing that as well. i'm sure it would be worth it. try searching speed star and it will pull up the conversational topics plus it will tell you what size filter to get.[/emoticons/emotion-1.gif]
isn't pr including stacks with their air kit now??? last time i checked it mentioned stacks?? are they as big as speed* stacks?? if so, that would be the cheaper route 'cause filters included as well.

PR kit has stacks, OE kit is just a standard BAK.
