When this all started (when some people got the recall notice).
I called the local Yami dealer to get put on the list. The guy told me "now is the time to get some HP parts put in your bike, Yamaha is paying for the labor".
I called them today and told them my parts (pistons & valve springs)from OE are in. I was told it is going to cost me around $300.00 extra. I asked the lady on the phone "have you hit your head on something"?!?! I told them I would take my bike some place else!
And I apologized for buying a dirtbike and two four-wheelers from them, that want ever happen again!

Pistons should be little to no charge, but the valve springs are a different story. The valve train is left pretty much undisturbed by the recall, so they are getting you for the labor to swap out the springs. My guy estimated this at $100, but actually came in closer to $200 (which I paid most of after informing him of my opinion on missing an estimate by 100%.)
