I've been considering a few bike to get. My first consideration was the R1, but the wife swore she'd never ride with me because of the passangers riding position ... too uncomfortable. Thoughts then went back to the V-Max, a bike I've wanted since I started riding. The only issue I have with it now is that the styling is a little out dated (in my eyes). I know it's still a kiss a** bike but, along with power I like style too. Then, the Warrior stepped into the picture. I LOVE the style. What I need to know is horse power, torque, and how easy it is to get more out of it. I've been riding since '92 so I can handle the beast.

hi
i got a 2001 r1 now , i owned a v-max a few years before that .
the r1 is great but your wifes right , it aint no bike to be a passenger on....its a race bike .
the v-max was a great bike loads of power but it handles oddly , you gotta muscle it into turns and theres a lot of play in the suspension ....it handles like crap. i got more tired riding the v-max than any bike ive owned (and ive owned about 10 bikes).
im here now looking for a powercruiser , a bike that handles and has some guts . tryin to figure out if the warrior is that kinda bike[/emoticons/emotion-1.gif]

My Brother-in-law is trying to persuade me into getting the Sporster Sport. Same power as the Warrior, same problems as any other Harley. That's the biggest NON-selling point for me. Durability. How far can I go before the heads start leaking. For My B-I-L it was under 5000 before his headgasket started to bleed. I told my wife this weekend, "sure we can get a Harley, ready to spend 17,000?" ... no answer.
I'm concerned that when I do get my Warrior and go riding with them that I'll be doing more standing around because the H-D riders will be busy picking up parts and putting them back on. Maybe I should loosen up something so I can feel like I'm part of the family. Or maybe I should work on hiding my 'Nothing wrong with my bike', grin.
Here's quote for ya'll, 'Stay in shape, buy a Harley'.
