I've stuck a few posts out here already, figured I ought to "officially" say hi to all. I started poking around the site while I was looking for another scoot to commute and run around on. So my wife bought me a 2006 Midnight Warrior a couple weeks ago and I've officially joined the forum. Actually joined so I could log in and check the picture folders. Some nice stuff out there. So far I feel like I made the right choice in picking up the RSW. Nice motor and handling.
History: I currently also have an '01 Venture. Learned to ride in the '60s on a panhead Harley (tank shifter, foot clutch, etc), went the Brit bike route in late '60s, chopped Sporty in the mid '70s. Ended that decade on a couple Kawi 750s. Started the '80s on a Suzuki that tried to kill me (deer broadsided me - broken knee, healed from that and a cage did a head on into me. Broke the other leg and both arms - outta work for 19 months. Sold that motor! The driver bought me a new BMW in 1984 that I rode for 20 years, until I bought the RSV. Bad knees mean I can't ride a standard anymore and have to ride a cruiser. That's ok, I'm comfy on 'em now that I'm ready to relax and slow down a bit.
Feels like I'm really gonna enjoy my Warrior, if it ever stops raining so I can get more than 200 miles on it. Gloomy here in NJ lately. Must be the reason for the long post - PMS. xin loi
Peace all, Waterdog (aka Joe)

I know what ya mean about the weather. When the sun does start to shine I seem to find less time to stay at home (or work). Congrats on the ride you will not be diappointed. Only I don't know how much you will slow down. This bike likes to RUN! Welcome to the 4M.[8D]

I too learned in the early '60s. 63 to be exact on a Norton 400 Electra, then had a couple of 750's, before I got a job w/Uncle Sam.[/emoticons/emotion-2.gif]

I guess everybody is familar with this scene: Sunday am breakfast run, local greasy spoon that attracts a 2 wheel crowd. Walking around the lot after eating, every time I looked towards my scoot, there were 2 or 3 people standing by it, looking it over. Lots of compliments of course. And it is (still) stock!! I love it.
