Tejas seems to be back in bussiness. My friend with the handlebars started getting phone calls from them.He has been able to get through to them several times reguarding the handlebars. He received the bars and they were sent from Tejas's vender that carries them. They were the wrong pullback. Tejas found him another set of bars that were almost the same but had the right pullback,so he is glad to get that out of the way. They said that the owner had died so maybe they were being truthful, and they are back in order. They have a set of mirror's i want,so i might give them a chance.Doug gets his handlebars tue. or wed.

You got me Scott. Have you tried to call them recently? I emailed them and they emailed me back. They started emailing my bud Doug and his wife, and returned his wifes calls a couple of times. Doug said he talked to a guy named Chris,he seems to be the one in charge. The next time I email them I will mention you and this forum and see what may happen. If there serious about fixing things they need to answer emails and phone calls,or go out of bussiness. They have had a web site for a good while.

Well they up and changed their domain name from .COM to .ORG on Sept 22nd under a different registrar. Personally, I head for the hills when an on-line store redirects to a "New" site; especially when the new one has bad links. You can draw your own conclusions but --quite possibly --they were unhappy with their host and screwed up their active orders in the process of migrating to the new system (??) And, are embarrassed to admit it.

They probally bought it so that someone could not place a ad site up with a similar name. They also bought the .net name too.

Maybe they were hijacked or something also. But this is a standard practice.

The new domain names redirect you to their .com site.

Indeed it isstandard to register all the top domain level suffixes but to redirect from one web app to another indicates issues.

Naw, it is standard practice to direct multiple sites to a single site so that you only maintain one site. Look at all the porn sites

Ok I'm putting my flame suit on but here goes nothing...

First off I completely apologize to DK, Reddog's friend, independent_lemming (if you haven't recieved your order yet), btm_fdr, and to anybody else who has had a difficult time with TTC in the past few months.

My name is Eric and I'm the oncoming webmaster, I started in May. I'm a full time student at Texas Tech, and I found their ad in the school paper. Right before I be began working for TTC is when things began to slide. TTC was a family-run motorcycle shop; until early last year when the original shop owner/shop-operator became very ill and was hospitalized, and eventually passed. The family spent most of that time in the hospital, after the owner passed the only people left to run the shop was the wife and two daughters.

They did what they could while they looked for somebody to come and run the shop. During which time is when I step in, good thing too because they were in desperate need of a new site; the original shop owner was the only person who really knew the system. I did what I could with their old site in order to make it better and more understandable. While I was doing that one of the daughters and Terry were tirelessly looking for the perfect person to take over, while the other sister attempted to run the shop.

Finally in September they caught a break and found the perfect person to run the shop. Since that day he's been attempting to undo the shitstorm that had piled up over the past few months. The new shop manager is one of the best in community. He was hired to get everything straightend out with you, the customers, as well as turning TTC around and getting them back on their feet. When he started working he didn't know what he was walking into, nobody did.

These are some of the nicest people that were caught in the shittiest and most unexpected of situations. This of course does not justify or excuse the past few months of service, but TTC is working to fix all of the issues that have piled up. I'd be as livid as you all if I was in your all's situation so I understand where you're coming from, but please when inquiring about your refund or parts please be as humane as possible. The new shop manager that is working to fix these issues was not around when the problems arose so keep that in consideration when contacting TTC. He's there to help you out get your parts or money back (which may be somewhat overdue).

I'm just their web master, but I'm frequently at the shop and would like to help out anybody that needs it. Just PM me with your order #, date ordered, and price; or if you prefer email: thumper [at] tejasthumpcycles [dot] com.

The reason I'm going out on the edge like this for TTC is because they are honestly a great and well intentioned company. The past months they were completely thrown off course by their unforceable situation; but they're back on track now that they have the necessary positions filled a long with a site that's actually functional.

PS: DK I completely apologize about this entire ordeal and about that first email you recieved saying that your parts were shipped. I'm assuming you purchased off the old site? I've tried many times to prevent those emails from sending and for some reason they just can't be stopped. On average for most of the custom products it takes 4-8 weeks, since they're manufactured once they're ordered. That's the biggest and most often heard complain, but it's completely understandable seeing as you recieved an email saying your parts were shipped, instead of saying they were ordered.

So please if anybody needs help with their order PM me or email the shop.

Cliffs: Original shop owner/manager passed away, problems with orders not being shipped and customers not being dealt with happened under temporary management, it took a few months to find the right person to take over, new management is now in place (one of the best ppl for the job) and TTC is working to fix any problems with any customers.

Again... plz PM me if you are having difficulties! On behalf of TTC, I'm completely sorry for what happened and we'd like to rectify any and all ongoing situations.

/deepbreath.

and please don't be too harsh, I'm just a webmaster I have nothing to due with the way things were run. but I'll do everything in my power to help speed up the process for anybody who needs it.
