I am in need of new throttle cables for my '07. The Yami dealer wants about $120 for both cables. I found at PhatPerformace a SET of Baron throttle cables for $83, not counting the discount. Ill prob pick up the K&N filters while im there as well so I can get the % off.

What is your opinion on the Baron cables? Id like to spend less, duh, but if OEM is better quality ill pay the higher price. I am also in need of the air cover for the right side. If any1 has replaced theres and still has the OEM cover, Id be willing to purchase it from you. Thanks guys/girls.

Throttle cables, like clutch cables, are model-year specific. For 2002-2003 look in 'Popular Mods' under cables.

These are the factory throttle cables for 2007 model year:
CABLE, THROTTLE 1 is part# 5PX-26311-30-00 $44.47
CABLE, THROTTLE 2 is part# 5PX-26312-30-00 $40.34
Vendor: http://www.staryamaha.com/default.asp

These are the Barnett cables for 2007 model year:
102-90-30012 Throttle (Pull) $ see below
102-90-40012 Throttle (Push) $ see below
Factory: http://www.barnettclutches.com/products/cables.aspx
Pick a Local Vendor: http://www.barnettclutches.com/locator/search.aspx?type=state&state=IL

Barnett cables are also available at many on-line vendors. They are great cables.

Hope this helps

No problem.

The 'msss.com' website is shorthand for http://www.motorsportssuperstore.com/its the link at the top-right of your screen. They are a site supporter. Either http://www.motorsportssuperstore.com/or http://www.yamahasportsplaza.com/(their newer site is http://www.staryamaha.com/) tend to have the deepest discounts for Yamaha parts, plus the fastest shipping and the most information on their websites. One difference, they have extra discounts at different times.

I didn't order from msss for awhile but I just placed an order for a S* (Speedstar) AIS Scoop because a lot of members have been having very good luck with them being speedy. Up to then I've ordered all Yami oem parts and some other items from yamahasportsplaza and the prixes are mostly the lowest and the parts arrive very fast. Plus they communicate well.

IMO don't count out the Barnett cables. They have stronger more flexible cable sets. Their stainless outer cover looks nicer IMO too so if you change the throttle cables you'll probably want to change the clutch cable at some point. Because the Barnett clutch cable actually slides smoother it makes your clutch easier to activate. This becomes handy when you get around to upgrading to the Barnett SR2 clutch spring which feels heavier and grabs a lot better.
