Thanks for the info....I own a Triumph, but not one of those models...scary!

 

No problem, I figured someone here might have one as a second bike or know someone how rode one. I once had a blow out on the rear wheel of a Triumph at 90mph, that was bad enough, would hate to think what would happen it it locked up at high speed.

ouch! My speed triple the clutch cable broke. Good thing it was at neutral at a stop light! Turns out that was a recalled part! I would hate to think about the rear! I still love the bikes though. They are fantastic. I miss mine everyday. Nothing like flying on one. /emoticons/emotion-1.gif

 

I never owned a Triumph myself, that incident I talked about eariler was the ONLY time I ever rode one, It was my buddies. My bike, a BSA Super Rocket, was in for a refit and the guy who owned the Triumph had no licence so I drove and he came along on the pillion. It was the LAST time I rode his bike and the LAST time he rode with me . .LMAO
We were both VERY lucky, a 90mph blowout on a major highway is NOT fun, but managed to hold control of the bike untill we hit the hard shoulder of the road, which turned out to be a SOFT shoulder lucky for us, nice long wet grass, saved our ass ! .. lol
