Well as alot of you know I have been waiting quite a while for a set of wheel I bought from G&S Cycles who get the froma company called Thomoson Performance.
This is the update so far.
I have the front wheel on the bike and all seems ok.
The rear wheel i have in the shed but it does not fit the bike, The hub was made wrong so last year told G&S Cycles and they pretty much put me straight in touch with greg from Thomoson Performance, apparently once they did that it released them of any legal obligations so they are not allowed to get solicitors involved seeing as that side of it is now out of there hands, which seems quite weird to me seeing as i was dealing with them and not greg.
So i ordered the wheels back in June 2012 managed to get the front wheel on in January so 6 months for the front wheel and still waiting for the rear wheel.
All of you know that Darkstar went to Thomoson Performance and physically looked and my rear hubs with my name on it, Greg apparantly told him that he would get round to it in the next week or 2. I have been told from G&S Cycles that all is needed for these hubs to work is the centre spacer between the bearings for the axle rod, Why that would takes weeks to make or measure up I have no idea unless i have been told a lot of crap from day one.
G&S Cycles gave me 4 options.
option 1, they give me back all my money and i give them back the wheels.
option 2, i send back the wheels and they make me a 18x8.5" standard wheel and refund me the differance.
option 3, I choose a set of RC Component wheels and swap them for the wheels i have.
Option 4, Wait to see if Greg from Thomoson performace actually holds up to his end of the bargain.
Apparently Greg feels that this is a warranty job and he will get to it when he can. I can not see how something can be warranty when it never fitted the bike in the first place. (if it fitted and broke that is one thing but when it never fitted i consider that to be a fcuk up and should have been fixed straight away)

So the bottom line is nothing came of Darkstar going to Thomoson Performance.

so you guys know as much as i do.

oh and apparently G&S Cycles will pay me half the money now and when they get the wheels back will send me the other half. (great how i had to trust them to do there job properly but they dont trust me)

Got more news today, DarkStar has been fantastic in visiting Thomoson Performance on getting an update on the process of the rear hub. Apparently the brake side is complete and a little bit more to be done on the drive side.
Hats off to DarkStar for following this though for me, Obviously being a local has really helped.
When i come over for the America trip i will buy you several cold beers all imported from mexico, haha

Thanks for posting Stew.

Everyone, I'm committed to Stew to keep this thread clean so G&S and Thomason will participate by posting their info if they desire. That communication helps Stew. There were so many posts it was impossible to send my usual PM's.

I have not heard back from Thomason but assume they know this thread exists and they can participate because I sent them a PM. G&S replied that they appreciate knowing about the thread and will hold-off posting until the last piece ships (as Stew mentioned its nearly finished). When Stew gets the spacer and installs it I'm sure he will be able to fill-in the blanks as to what has transpired behind the scenes that none of us know about.

Again, lets please give Stew and the other two parties the space they need. If you have something positive to post that supports what Stew said he wants (the part) then please feel free.

Keeping this separate:

I will be going back thru and determine which removed posts can be returned to view. Again, the criteria here is unusual because we committed to Stew that if he would start a new thread on this topic that we would keep it clean above-and-beyond (and many members posted agreenment with that) so please bear with us. If we can help communication between Stew and G&S and Thomason then we are helping Stew.

Thanks for understanding why this is unusual but helpful to the OP.

hey az, if you want to be fair to all parties involved you should take the whole post down . any words period thay could be even slightly read in the wrong way or misconstrude is bad press for the people mentioned, period. it could be brought back when there is a definate good thing to say about the out come or a bad thing to bring to everyones attention. thats is i feel the right and unbiased way to handle this post. instead of censoring and blocking out all posts. just my 02 but very in line with truely being fair to all involved, btk572

Thank you for the kind words, much appreciated. I will keep you updated via PM.

An for the record.....there is nothing wrong with that Mexican Beer, but I do prefer Maine Beer. Shipyard Brewery out of Portland, Maine makes a great brew or two......

Wow, and it only took a year...
Yea, my same thoughts.

Our actions as a "group/forum" are that although we are frustrated by a vendor with a 365+ day delivery, and unorthodox customer fiduciary practices, ultimately 'we' are accepting of, and actively defend against posting comments that reflect poorly on the vendor.

As an individual/member, this is disappointing and deflating to the sense of community I perceived for us.

I can only hope that this post isn't deleted or locks anything...

Stew... good luck

Ed,

You're a good friend to have. I'm sure your efforts helped get this moved along. It restores my faith in people to see folks like yourself doing kind acts for others they haven't even met. Kudos to you.
