Bought an 06 Warrior two weeks ago. Since then I've put a thousand miles on it. Never had a better cruiser. Been riding about 40 years, mostly dirt early and street and dirt the last twenty. I've had or ridden (or worked on) just about all brands. Had 5 different Harley's and a Buell. I love the V-Twin, always thought Harley did it best. But I've grown tired of the biker seen (an accountant can by a Harley and all of a sudden he's Sonny Barger). I always kind of kept my eye on the Warrior, it seemed the one metric cruiser that had the right idea. When I finally started looking closer I decided it had everything a Harley softail should have if I was to build one, I didn't have to Yamaha already did. Now I'm personalizing it. Removed the air pump, in the process of removing as much plastic and uneccesary calif. smog stuff. Looking forward to making it lean, mean and comfortable. I've allready got a ton of good info and mods off the net. Looking forward to using the wealth of information and experiance from the forums and mod pages. Also maybe hook up with some fellow no. cal Warrior pilots for some rides. I just want to ride. (/emoticons/emotion-2.gif)

I hear ya. I used to cruise with Harleys (owned two) for years. I couldnt find anybody to go anywhere but a bar. I like to ride, not drink. Now thier riders are all dentists, doctors, lawyers and stuff, like you said, transformed into the "Cheezy Riders". lol..
I get a wave from a couple of real bikers, but you can tell when you pass a wannabee, they got that bad boy sneer. I just bite my nails and then drop a couple gears and smoke away. I'm afraid they may gang up on me one day and beat me with #2 pensils. lol....
Have fun on the bike.
