Hi Guys - first post.
I am really interested in the warrior and after reading the posts here it seems like a great bike.

My question is related to cornering and general performance on the back twisty roads.

I currently ride a R1 and 929 on the backroads but my knees aren't what they used to be...I want to enjoy the same roads at a slower pace of course but would like to hear some comments about the handling etc. I am guessing the suspension is good and the clearance looks good.

Any OTD prices lately from northern california?

Thanks.

I got it!!!

Picked it up an hour ago and rode it back to work - about 22 miles. I didn't get on it too hard and will break it in first but so it bloddy rocks. It switches lanes like a sportsbike and carries it weight extremely well.

Thanks again for all the great feedback!

Man is this bike fun...I have had it for about 20 hours now and already have 180 miles on it. After getting home I did the following -
Removed the red pin strip from rims (black marker for now).
Removed the Warrior plastic from tank
Remove Yamaha sticker from rear
Removed Charcoal canister
Removed passenger pegs (passenger seat left holes so it is on again)

Next on list -
AIS mod looks popular
I NEED a lower seat (any suggestions - the corbin looks high)
Move controls forward (lightning kit looks good)
The K&N filters mods looks like it'll breath better.
Look for a remove the Catylst

I LOVE the stock pipe look but need to figure out a way to open it up a bit. I am sure there is a cat in there somewhere. I little better sound wouldn't hurt either. One of the reason I was attracted to this bike was the organic look to the stock pipe and way it curves around.

Well - too much typing and not enough breaking in so see ya later all.

V-Bak instead of just K&Ns. It really wakes the bike up. Unless you just have to take twisities as fast as possible, lower the rear for better seat height. Flip and grind is cheapest then the PCS kit, then the Cycle Image adjustable. Finally, for big bucks, is the Tricky Air.

Hey guys - had the bike now for about 50 hours and racked up a little of 300 miles so far.

I made an appointment with my doctor for some botox shots in my cheeks to rid myself of the silly grin that won't go away.

I'm waiting on the AIS block off kit then I will will attach the BAK (air intake mod?) next.

I ended up taking the foam out competely from the seat and riding on the tray for now. The stock seat is way too high for me as I have to reach down do the bars. Found a guy that'll add a little foam and put new leather on the seat.

Good thing I have a ton of R1 parts laying around so I can liquidate them for Warrior mods - I want the stock pipe to saty though - I still love the look of it.
