I finally got my brand new 2006 Yamaha Midnight Warrior yesterday. The ride home was awesome. Up to now I have been riding a 1982 Yamaha Maxim 650, so needless to say the Warrior just blew me away right from the start. As soon as I felt/heard the rumble from that huge V-Twin, I knew I made the right choice (I almost spent $3k more on a Harley Dyna....now that $3k can go to Warrior mods!) I can't believe the combination of power and handling on this bike. When the weather breaks out here in the Philly suburbs, there are some back roads that I can't wait to tear up! Watch out West Chester, there's a new Warrior in town!!!

Welcome to the Warrior world and the best forum on the web. I also had a 650 Maxim and then a '79 XS1100, so it wasn't quite the jump that you made, but still no comparison. Take some time and look around the site. There is no end to the list of good ways to spend that $3000 that you saved.

Welcome to the forum. Another PA guy, Excellent. I sometimes ride out of Valley Forge down into West Chester with a couple of Duc guys. It would be cool to hook up and ride sometime. Have fun and you're going to need the money for the mods, Good luck.
