Those are frame protectors. I took mine off to show off my polished frame.

 

Not sure what they are called but my '05 came with them/ not a mod. Dealer should be able to get you a set (no charge).

mine fell off ages ago......wished they made metal ones in chrome, instead of that cheap ol rubber

They are actually meant to protect the frame from scuffing and rubbing from your legs.

If you dont have them on yours, it means that the dealer you bought them from didnt put them on when they assembled the bike. If you bought the bike second hand, the previous owner most likely took them off.

I never knew that existed. Just went out to the garage. I have them on my '02.

 

one of them on my bike is missing....

didnt even realize until now.... they were both there not to long ago (when i added the power commander). i wonder if one of the great dealers lost one while doing my estimite a few months back

 

my '03 didn't have them..........

Dfwrswarrior04 good idea! If someone with a little talent could fab up some chrome ones, I bet he could sell a few!

 

dealer found them in the shop. Had no idea what they were! Same dealer who didn't know he still had an '05 still in the box, until I asked him to look for it!!
