The budget should be balanced, the Treasury should be refilled, public debt should be reduced, the arrogance of officialdom should be tempered and controlled, and the assistance to foreign lands should be curtailed lest Rome become bankrupt. I'm not sure the millions ofpeople in Rome would agree that they don't exist anymore but that's off topic....


Sure Cicero was exiled, hunted down and beheaded but he lived his entire life trying to preserve his republic and maintain (and restore) libertas for Rome. He was a politician who did some flip-flopping in his time but overall he was apretty goodexample of "Country First" so he did what he could despite the greed, envy, and egos around him that caused civil war and eventually his own death.

It is stated in some philosophers predictions that the eagle would become a third world country prior to its total collapse. Hence the Roman empire fell to a fate that seems to be unfolding around us now. **** history.......
