It reduces your cornering clearance, not critical if you are not a peg scraper.

It looks HOT, AWESOME, and COOL[8D]

Downside, everyone will look at you and want your ride.

the bike simply looks bad-ass

 

I did mine purely for the low bad a$$ look. I'm not into scraping pegs that much. I do need to spring for the 900 lbs spring since after lowering I have to be careful at dips and curbs or the bike will actually touch down on the frame, had this happen a couple of times. have also bottomed out the tire onto the inside of the rear fender a couple of times. No damage just a puckered pooter.

 

OK. Now then, does the front have to be lowered as well? Should it be? Pros/cons?

 

I lowered mine to enjoy the effects of bottoming out in corners with bumps and waves in the pavement. I particularily like scraping stuff easier. The bike looks a lot better sitting still though

 

Like i said, should get the heavy duty spring. Hey, Washington, I thought you were trying to give me ****[}/emoticons/emotion-1.gif] untill I noticed that you have the same lowering kit that I do.[/emoticons/emotion-2.gif]

Have only scraped my pegs a few times so I doubt its a problem for me !!
