I feel your pain! I traded in my 1999 Black XX for my 2002. I do miss laying on the tank trying to keep the front wheel from hitting me in the head through second gear on the 'Bird.[xx(] I figured the next best thing for an old guy like me was to go rigid on a Warrior!! I have to admit, though, for a former car guy, the Warrior does much better burnouts than any sportbike I've ever had. Welcome to the best site I've ever been to on an almost daily basis (though I don't post too often).

Your CRAZY!!! The Blackbird and the Warrior make a great team. I have a 2000 Blackbird, and a 2002 Warrior, and I wouldn`t like it any other way. I must admit though, since I`ve had the Warrior, I`ve ridden it a lot more than the Blackbird. Mostly played in town this year, so the Warrior is a great, "socializing with the
local hooligans" bike. I love `em both.

Welcome to the Midnight Club! Forget what all the other people say...Midnight Warriors RULES!
You're going to have a lot of fun with that bike and you better be prepared to have a lot of people coming up to you, admiring your bike and asking all kinds of questions. Heck! I had a security guard at the local shopping mall come up to me today, asking what kind of bike was that. When I told him it was a Warrior...He asks who makes those...I said Yamaha and his was like totally surprised...
Eariler I had this hot looking girl (Looks over shoulder for wife...) asks me if my bike was a new Harley-Davidson Night Train. I shook my head and told her..."No...It's a Midnight Warrior..." She said it sure looks nice and she loved the blacked out look.
And no I didn't get her phone number...I'm happily married! [/emoticons/emotion-2.gif]

Welcome Brother! What's the first piece of chrome you're adding to the bike?
The black looks best IMHO when accented by chrome pipes for example.
