OK, a few things didn't go as planned today. First of all, my battery wasn't fully charged and the camera kept cutting out on me so you will see a few different little clips in the video. Secondly, I realized I had camera set at low resolution in video mode instead of higher resolution when I got home and watched the video. Thirdly, it was freakin 20 degrees out when I took the video so going back out and doing it again is way out of the question! Otherwise, what do you think of my first test with the new mount? Oh yeah, and I didn't put music this time cause there are just short clips instead of one long video so turn up your speakers and enjoy!

Was that with the handlebar mount that you showed just the other day? If so then it looks suprisingly NOT shaky like I thought it probably would.

Shaq, that was that clamp that I 'found' the other day. I just put a glove around my bars to protect them and added a couple of spacers on the camera bolt cause it was too long.

BHW, yes, it was the official Grandma goes for a drive day today! How did you know? Keep in mind the cars are doing at least 55mph. The video makes it appear like their not, but they were and I actually got up to about 100 once or twice.

No traffic around there... That's pretty cool but I gotta wonder-- if you got pulled over, can that video be used against you in court or can your camera plead the 5th or something??!

Yes it can be used against you. Its like getting stopped with drugs in the car or getting stopped for DWI with an open container in the car. Its all evidence.

Doesn't change the fact that its a very cool video (figuratively and literally). Did you mount the camera straight up to the bars or is it a lipstick camera??

Dave, the clamp is clamped in the middle of my double T's and my Fuji F700 is screwed to the bolt on the clamp. It's right in front of me while riding and I could actually watch the video on the LCD as it's recording. I'll try to take a pic of the clamp while on the bars, but this is the camera I'm using.

I thought for sure you was about to go between those two cars in the first clip, that traffic sucks. I use putfile mostly for pics, ive tried to upload a few videos but they were larger then 25mb. Ive seen some of your videos in the past (great videos) Some of them have to be larger then 25mb, how do you do it?

That video was more than 25mb before I compressed it to 15mb with windows movie maker. Putfile won't let you upload more than 25mb. That traffic did suck, but I wanted to show alittle NY riding. The next video should have less traffic and hopefully another NY member in front of me.

That makes me wanna go play in traffic. Nice video. And a perfect example of what seperates the warrior from the average cruiser. I weave and I ride the stripe from time to time but that 3 lane switching at once while in traffic...... dude, my 16 yr old duaghter got me a wallet that says feel the wrath of my nuts... I think you earned it.. fed ex or UPS? lol

You country boys need to understand. Driving in the city is very, very different that riding on country roads. Splitting lanes for the NY/NJ Rider's is their style of riding. They have to ride that way in order to survive in the city.

BTW, I still think you should look into an alternate mount. It still kind of shakes a bit, but not bad.
