i've only been riding my warrior for two weeks now. it's an '03 with a bub slip-on on stock headers and k&n filters the only mods. it appears to have some kind of aftermarket fuel injection control, but it has no name on it so i don't know what it is. just had the cps and throttle recalls done and i forgot to ask them about it.
i just noticed something new. after winding it out in 2d and then hitting it in third it continues to gain rpms and speed but then kind of flattens out and then accelerates again. same thing when i open it up in 4th, it gains, flattens out, and then picks up again. is this a fuel injection control issue? love this 4m and thanks for all the good advice so far.

The flat rpm problem is your clutch spring. We nearly all add the Barnett SR2 clutch spring with gold or red springs. Gold works fine and red are super-stiff so get new cables too. Both work fine and you won't slip your clutch anymore. Have them install new OEM Yami clutch plates if yours are worn. The quicker you do this the cheaper the fix will be.

See:http://www.barnettclutches.com/products/spring_conversions.aspx?cat_id=6&prod_id=36

You can buy it from several on-line sources, shop around or have your mechanic install it if you're not a clutch guy. Its quick less than an hour when you know what to do otherwise it takes all freaking day.

Yep for the fuel control post a pic no problem.

thanks much. i thought it felt like a slipping clutch but wasn't sure. the bike has 12,500 miles. does that sound about when this happens?

Unless your engine is picking up rpm's while your speed stays the same, it's not your clutch. Like doing a burn-out without all the smoke.
