we ran and loved the avon storm ultra for years here ..great in the rain and good grip ...the plus was the tread looked the business

as always the companies have no idea what their customers are buying, and brought out the avon 3d ...it's a good tyre ...good grip and good in the rain .... and the tread looks like shite

but it is what it is ...and it's the tyre of choice now over here

For the $ I have not found a better deal than the Shinko.

What sort of mileage are you getting out of them? I am well due for a tire. My Avon storm 2 is about out of life...

Alright, so I finally ordered a shinko 009. Should be able to have it installed early next week. I am not quite due for new front, but will be soon enough. So that bring me to my next question: what are you running on the front to pair with the raven 009 rear?

 

Last few sets have been the Shinko 011 Verge, on my bike. I'd say 4-5K is a fair average for these tires. Best tire for the money in my opinion as well, and I've ran all the popular brands other members have suggested over the years. I never brag them up, because it brings out the Avon Nazis

 

Yup 5k sounds right, I've run both Shinko and Full Bore with no problems, great bang got the buck tires, I currently have a Shinko on the front.
