The PC III unit is a plug in unit as far as installation on the bike. The unit has to be programed correctly for your bike. The programs are called "maps." You need a map that has been made for the specific combination of components that you have on your bike i.e. type of exhaust system, type of air system. Dynojet has lots of maps that you can download from their web site then load into your PCIII. For the absolute best map for your particlar bike you can have your bike dyno tuned by somebody that knows how to make custom maps for the PCIII. This is not necessary but a well done custom map will get every last bit of performance possible out of your bike.

Also, with the PCIII, "manual" adjustments can be made. There are buttons on the PCIII unit that allow you to manually adjust the Fuel Air Mixture at low, medium, and high rpm ranges individually. These manual adjustments are in addition to the map that has been loaded into the unit and do not change the map itself. The procedures for all this, uploading maps into the PCIII and making manual adjustments, are included in the instructions with the PCIII.

the pcIII is a plug and play unit. depending on who you order it from, you can have it preloaded with the map of you choice. but is easy to remap too. I noticed the performance increase when I installed it in my stock bike, before I did the mods. I noticed that it was much more responsive to the 'Go' grip and it accelerated more briskly.

Chauvot boy, you will notice a difference on a stock bike. I put mine on my stock bike for about 200 miles. It does make it more responsive and I saw far fewer "hiccups" when getting on and off throttle. More responsive for sure, but I doubt any horsepower gain on stock bike. Beware, mine was supposed to come pre-programmed for the warrior, but it surely was not! I ran it without checking, man what a difference the proper map makes.

How did you know the PC was not pre-programmed? Are you able to check before putting it on or did you just notice poor performance? And is the install simple once the correct map is programmed?

Arp, it was pre-programmed, just with the wrong map. Well, its funny, it didnt run necessarily bad, but something just wasnt right. It felt, wrong. I wish I knew how to explain it, but I cant. I shouldve checked it before I installed it. I'm told you can do that, but I didnt. So I rode it for 12-15 miles, and I had to check it. SO I got the laptop in the garage (had to borrow one), hooked it up and surenuff, wrong map. Not even a Warrior map at all. Loaded the map for the stock bike, and everything changed. Smoothness of acceleration, exhaust note, less "hiccups". This is a very cool little device. I love technology. It's working well with all of my mods.
