I just traded in my 900 Kawasaki Vulcan for a 2002 Warrior and so far I am not regretting it. I am from the West Michigan area. The bike is completely stock and I am looking forward to looking through this forum for the best upgrade recommendations. Any help on what the best one to do first would be great.

There are a bunch of free mods you can start with like:
-Trim the rear mud flap
-remove the ugly front horn (there are 2, not sure why you need 2)
-remove the back seat and hardware (you can get a suction seat later)
-remove the belt guards (some advise against it but I have 26,000 miles an no problem)
-remove the reflectors on the forks
-relocate the ugly rectifier under the bike
-clean up the hoses just in front of the tank on the left side
-"flip and grind" (lower the rear)

Then there are inexpensive mods like:

I hated the (off color) heat shield on the rear rotor and wanted off asap. You can remove it and order shorter bolts for the front rotors to replace the longer bolts on the rear.

Powder coat anything you can unbolt that you want a different color. I like black if you could not tell.

Then look at other bikes and see what you like. Exhaust and Bars are usually a good place to start.

Good Luck! Happy modding!

Welcome!!

your on the right track...ya gotta look around at all the bikes, as each one is an expression of the person that owns it. You gotta define what your style bike will be.

As for mechanical... big air kit from either churchkey or Patrick Racing. get that motor some air to breathe! anything else you do, will start to take you down style paths as well.

Read up, learn how to use the forum search, as I've found it to be an invaluable resource, second only to the members here that are attentive, knowledgeable and willing to help you.

just ask!

Welcome! Two things you must do immediately: Change the horrible seat so it's comfortable, and get a second job to pay for mods. Yeah, that should get you moving in the right direction...

Welcome!! You just missed out on the Michigan/Indiana meet and ride. I'm from Mid-Michigan area (St Johns).

I'd definitely start with a new exhaust, or modifying the factory one. I can't even tell you the amount of knowledge available here! Check out the DIY Mod List. There's plenty of cheap or free mods in there that will keep ya busy for awhile!
