Me and my bike ate pavement on Monday morning on my way to work on 101 in SF. There was a 3 car pileup right in front of me and I couldn't avoid it. Locked up the rear tire and went into the back of a SUV with my right side, then kinda bounced off it and went to the ground on the left side. My right leg took most of the impact, I thought it was broken for sure, but luckily it isn't. Just really traumatized my thigh muscles. I can walk, just not very well. My leg is turning all kinds of pretty shades of purple. I'll be off work for a couple weeks. My bike is at the shop already, estimated repairs in the neighborhood of $5,400!! Boy I'm glad I still have collision insurance! Overall I'm doing fine, just taking it easy and eating Vicodin like it was halloween candy. Hopefully I'll be back on the horse in a short time.

Hey All, I just wanted to send out a big

THANK YOU

to all those West Coast Warriors that stepped up and contributed to Cadfather's Relief Fund. I will add a list soon. It's awesome to see a community come together for a "warrior" brother in need!

If you did donate, please post up in the Cadfather Benefit thread to let them know yourself too. If you don't know what I am talking about, I sent a mass email out last night to help out a "Warrior Brother in Need". This was supposed to be an undercover operation but it looks like the cat is out of the bag.

OK we posted there. I hope the big hearts in this group inspire more to contribute and wipe away Joe's medical bills. Good work Jody. And also thanks to Woody for being the 'purser' on this voyage of need. Ahh, how freaking poetic am I tonight? [:I]
