You're not the only one. But im deployed till spring, and the warrior is in pieces until then anyways. I had the tank fixed and painted after my mishap. But she'll be back together right after im home and im sure i'll be more active then.

Yep Dusten you have a hall-pass for sure . . . I bet you can't wait to wrench on your bike and have a real life again.

Re: PNWW: Yellowstone

I am more than ready to wrench. I wrecked it in sept 09, but it was ridable so i really didnt sweat it. About a month before deployment I stripped all the tins off for paint. Body shop and I decided just to do the tank, the rest could be cleaned up with a cut and buff. got the tank back and it looks great. I am going to install the tins when i get back, give the bike a good wet sand and polish and then figure out my tail light situation. I tore one up a bit in the wreck and am debating replacing them or going to something integrated.

The integrated ones are nice. They get a bad rap. No matter what brand, most work flawlessly. A very few don't. Squeeky wheel gets the grease you know what I mean. Anyway there's a bunch of infoin popular mods.

IMO its always nice to ride the Applegate . . . happy for you bro. Yesterday was sunny here finally, but cold, and too busy to ride. Maybe this weekend it'll be sunny again! I got a note from the local Yami store doing a Yami-sponsored 2012 Super Tenere intro event on the 21st at 1pm. Maybe I'll go have a look-see.

Yea looks like a nice bike, to bad we no longer have a Yamaha dealer here.

I was at the local Ducatti dealer the other day and they are going to have the new Diavel here fer test rides, I think I'm going to go see just how big a beast it is.

I gambled and took my VStar 1100 Classic for a ride because I really needed some saddle time and it was not actually raining, and it was a little warmer, about 50F today so I just put on a 'hoodie' and took off. The VStar has full fenders, front and rear, to keep the rain down some so I figured it was worth going.

I managed to ride for maybe an hour before it started raining in the Gorge. So then I sorta meandered back toward home, in no particular rush since I was already wet anyway. Then it turned to just spotty rain, so some places were dry.

If I'd worn a rain suit, or even just a leather jacket, I'd have kept going awhile longer. But when you're wet and going 75 or 35 the wind chill is killer haha. So I caved and rode home. Nothing spectacular. But with the crummy weather since last October I'm happy just to squeeze in a few minutes of saddle time when ever I can!

C'mon spring! C'mon summer!

I'm hoping to do more business riding this summer, its a great excuse to ride! Plus, I'd like to do a couple personal rides. Like, instead of flying, I'm going to take another stab at maybe riding over to Denver to see one of the kids this summer. I figure it'll have to be a speedy trip, mostly freeway, but it is what it is. We will see. I'd also like to ride to Ashland (Oregon) this summer to see family. Maybe to some extent take the coast highway this time. Maybe even take an unplanned day to ride with some of the boys around there just for the fun of it.

What do you all have planned this year for your summer rides?

Hey there. I've been a Warrior owner going into my third year. I joined this site a while back when I bought the bike but only surf every once in a while for ideas or info. I'm in the Olympia WA area. I plan to get a good amount of riding in when all this rain let's up. Looking forward to possibly meeting up with some folks from the area.
