The wife finally let me start to make some mods to the bike so here we go! Started with the stage 1 water heater mod, sounds great. There is a hint of jake brake sound on decel, but I am ok with that. Cut the plastic rear fender down and moved the plate up. Much cleaner look for the rear. Started making carbon fiber accent pieces for the exhaust and frame. More to come. I also plan to make air cleaner mods and will probably make a set of carbon fiber foe velocity stacks. This is my first post of hopefully many more.

The carbon fibre bits looks great. How did you fab them?

Well where I work I have access to all the vaccume bagging materials needed to form the parts and a friend of mine is a dealer for carbon, kevlar, and fiberglass cloth. So the rest is just time.

I love the frame inserts. How about making some to fill in the 'recesses' in the frame by the passenger pegs. I bet several of us would go for those. Oh yes, and AIS scoops and..........
Welcome to the 4M too:}

The plan is to make the frame inserts like you said and I think I will make wraps for the pushrod tubes too./emoticons/emotion-5.gif (Just thought of those tonight while I was looking at the bike.) As for making carbon fiber frame kits, I plan to try and make a few and see how the response is. Price is T.B.D. If anyone wants one just let me know and I will get crackin on it. Also thanks for the warm welcome from everyone. Never posted anything before so this has been a good experence.

I agree with the great look of the carbon. Really like the frame inserts. Any thought of doing the front fork protectors in carbon fiber. I've been trying to think of a way to do that on mine.

+1 on the fork protectors idea.

Frame inserts look great too, I've been waiting to get my bike back to make myself some.
