My bike looks better.. If I wanted a racer I would have gone 122CI and not SSS... For that matter a Busa or something designed for drag racing..

Yes it's true what Goose has said. He has a friend with a highly modded Harley and when we went at it
roll after roll, he pulled from me everytime. My bike was pretty stock at the time also. AND I have a friend also with a highly modded Deuce that also gives me a run for my money. I haven't even read that Harley topic yet, but all I have to say is it's not hard to believe that a modded Harley beat a Warrior. Now if we talk about looks, hands down the Warrior wins everytime!!!!

Like one guy put it. Everytime you think your bike is the quickest, there is always someone waiting to smoke your ass. There are warriors that smoke harleys and harleys that smoke warriors. The difference - some riders are "arrogant know it alls" full of alot of exagerated experiences.Kind of like that guy you went to school with who insists he should have been a pro athelete if it wasnt for, you know, whatever exagerated excuse he can muster up. I have been a professional for 22 years and heard it all. When it comes to the knucklehead on the harley site, all I can really say to him is "WHO CARES". What a moron.

Do you have ONLY the 110ci kit, or more, like cams and gears???

I looked at the stock Warrior dyno and it shows all the hp and torque right off the bat and dropps off quickly, right about where Harleypaws Harley started picking up hp and torque.

What can a Warrior do to meet the match of the built Harley?

I just read through 5 pages of posting and didn't believe it until I saw the guys Dyno sheet. With the #'s that baggers producing against a stock warrior, I could see it happen. Harley's also rev out faster and higher than we do, which also gives them a big advantage when they start producing power #'s close to us. Was nice to see the Harely guys gave us a lot of respect.

I'll throw in a little bonus story, just for sh!ts and giggles. My best friend and close riding buddy has a 2001 Harley Dyna Wide-glide with a race worked 95" motor. He dynoed in at 110HP and 105LB/TQ. He gives me a run for the money, with my 110"kit (without the NOS), every time we go for it. I always have him until about 100MPH, then he starts to pull away and I end up smacking the rev-limiter at 140, but can't catch him. He'll hold his own in the turns and splitting lanes too. Don't know how he holds on like that, but he does. We finally agreed on the fact that I'm quicker, but he's faster.
I'm the last person to admit this, but it's true, and if you don't believe me asked Vector18, he's run with him too.

Well said. And remember - there will always be someone with a faster bike (except for that one guy with the fastest bike on the planet!)

Even if its possible the guys HD ran faster than his friend's son's used near-stock Warrior ridden by a newbie, the guys attitude simply sucks and its something I don't miss since I sold my Softail long ago. In our camp we smile and we mean it when we say "anything on two wheels." In that camp it's "rice this" and "rice that" which tells me they're nervous and they're trying to shore-up their belief that their prized HD is the best thing out there when it simply isn't and never has been. The Warrior is built to drag in the straights, and drag and in the twisties. It loves stoplight to stoplight. It loves the freeway (with the right seat!). It loves The Dragon and Mount Rose Highway (Tahoe). The poor guy had a beer and blew off some steam and his buddies called him on it, some of whom own (or owned) Warriors and Max's. Any given Sunday. Somebody could win. If this was true and he loses next time I hope he's man enough to post that too. I'm bored. I'll shut up now!

Did ya ever notice that when a H-D beats a metric bike it's big news? If we posted everytime we left one of them in the dust there would be no bandwidth left here.

These guys also think that because they can take out big loans on their prize possessions it somehow makes them a better person. I doubt that many ever own their "investments". Jusy my 2 cents.

Roll on racing at 60mph![/emoticons/emotion-2.gif] with those HP#'s on the Harley the warrior would loose every time.. How about a real race from a stop.[/emoticons/emotion-5.gif] I would race my Warrior against that bike any day.
That hog would be spinning his tire at the start while I'm heading down the track add the extra weight of bike and rider to the equation and I believe I would win with my 89Hp and 106ft lbs of torque. Oh yeah! I spent 1,000.00 on bolt on mods. What I wouldn't give for a sixth gear...[/emoticons/emotion-5.gif] Oh yeah, 1/8 mile only[/emoticons/emotion-5.gif] Hey, he has sixth gear![/emoticons/emotion-2.gif]

-There's only 2 problems with the warrior, the rev-limiter and the lack of cam options. They go hand and hand, even if you got rid of the rev-limiter, the few cams currently on the market all drop off at 5000 RPM anyway.
-To answer your question: What you need to do is build a quick bike, get up to 140mph faster then your competition, then hope you run out of road before he catches up so you can claim victory. Like I said in my original post, I'm Quicker (even without the nitros), just he's faster because he is crazy enough to top 140mph just to prove a point.
-Mind you, most Harley's and there rider's wont push there bikes that fast because there just too unstable, I know, I've owned them and have done it. So with what's available for our bikes right now, you can Easily build a Harley Stomper 99% of the time, but there's always someone out there with more money, time, and ambition that may beat you, but isn't that half the fun [/emoticons/emotion-5.gif].

With the turbo you want to change the clutch and the gearing. My fifth gear is running about 2250 rpm at 75 mph. Thats a theoretical redline speed of over 180 mph given the Stage IV ECU with 5500 rpm redline. My overall gearing is longer with a 24 tooth front sprocket. It still spins the 240 tire in first and second on high boost.

Have you ever run the turbo bike at a drag strip? I'd love to see how well it would do.
