Hey MN Folks...
Long story short, I totaled my bike back in in October 2010. Fixed it up last year and have an inspection scheduled for the 23rd of April to re-title her. I was wondering if an of you MN folks have gone through this process. Just looking for a gauge as to how strict they are.

I haven't done it myself, but have spoken with people that re title salvage bikes routinely.

You will need to have all the required equipment, 2 pegs, controls, mirrors, blinkers etc. All of these should be up to MN specs. If you have replaced parts, keep the receipts or some records in a folder, they don't often look at it but I've heard of it being a factor. Also make sure there is no visible frame damage, it can be an issue for removing the salvage designation.

From what I understand it is a pretty quick and painless process.

I cannot answer your question, but wanted to wish you luck. Maybe you
can tell us after you are finished what hoops needed jumping thru?

If it's anything like Maryland the easiest way to pass is rebuild the bike pretty much back to stock the way it came from the factory equipped as mentioned above. If it passes the bike will then be branded with a Reconstructed Salvage Title.
