well not to long ago someone here asked about the difference in power and sound with the competition baffel vrs the stock baffel, so since i have been using the competition baffel with the billet crome cap i decided to order the correct stock baffel that bolts right up to the billet chrome cap, so before when using the competition baffel i had my bike dynoed and it was 92.2HP and 111.4 TQ, so i spent the $32.00 and got the stock baffel and put it in my bike tonight while my oil was draining from my FJR, well first the sound. The stock baffel is slightly quieter and deeper sounding I think. now for the seat of the pants power, WHAT A DIFFERENCE in the low to midrange power, believe me i dont need a dyno to tell me i gained some more torgue and throttle responce down low, the upper end FELT slower to me but get this, i removed the baffels four times switching back and forth and to my supprise when from a 5 mile and hour rolling start I was between 5 and 7 miles per hour faster when I hit the same distance from start to finish, i didnt believe this so I tried it THREE times, ,yep the stock low end baffel (as they call it on the box), is a keeper, so if anyone wants to make more noise at the expense of lost torque be my guest, I just might have to bring it to the original place i had my bike dynoed for a new pull, I wouldn't be supprised if i loose 2 HP or so ,but the way it runs now ill stay with the extra torque. It was worth the $32:00 dollars to find this out, just for you guys, but i benifited from it, ain't I a nice guy?
