well not to long ago someone here asked about the difference in power and sound with the competition baffel vrs the stock baffel, so since i have been using the competition baffel with the billet crome cap i decided to order the correct stock baffel that bolts right up to the billet chrome cap, so before when using the competition baffel i had my bike dynoed and it was 92.2HP and 111.4 TQ, so i spent the $32.00 and got the stock baffel and put it in my bike tonight while my oil was draining from my FJR, well first the sound. The stock baffel is slightly quieter and deeper sounding I think. now for the seat of the pants power, WHAT A DIFFERENCE in the low to midrange power, believe me i dont need a dyno to tell me i gained some more torgue and throttle responce down low, the upper end FELT slower to me but get this, i removed the baffels four times switching back and forth and to my supprise when from a 5 mile and hour rolling start I was between 5 and 7 miles per hour faster when I hit the same distance from start to finish, i didnt believe this so I tried it THREE times, ,yep the stock low end baffel (as they call it on the box), is a keeper, so if anyone wants to make more noise at the expense of lost torque be my guest, I just might have to bring it to the original place i had my bike dynoed for a new pull, I wouldn't be supprised if i loose 2 HP or so ,but the way it runs now ill stay with the extra torque. It was worth the $32:00 dollars to find this out, just for you guys, but i benifited from it, ain't I a nice guy?

RD,

I think individual results may vary. I didn't get my 'stock' baffle dyno'd, but the comp baffle felt a bit stronger on the bottom end - not significant enough to write home about mind you. In the end I decided to stay with the comp baffle because of it. Although I did prefer the slightly toned down sound of the stock baffle. Again, individual results may vary...

Vin,
I have always prferred the stock baffle sound, torque over my modified baffle, but I do believe I am giving up a little in the low end, but gaining in the mid to high end with my modified racing baffle. I have not done the competition baffle, so I can't compare. I have a brand new megaphone and stock baffle sitting in a box that I ordered a few months back. I will probably switch out next riding season.

Remember that the original stock baffel that most people cut to fit on the billet end cap to work is shorter than the stock baffel that does fit the billet end cap that goes with it,this could be slighty effecting the flow differently?, another experiment you could make with the stock billet propipe baffel would be to drill out the original holes that are in it to a slightly larger holes in itand fine tune it to your liking, problem would be when you start feeling a little loss in the low end you cant go back, you would have to buy another one and redrill that to the last set of holes, any takers,i aint parting with $32:00 bucks again, ill ride it for awhile like this, every time I switched the baffels I keep liking the low end baffel better,my competition baffel kept feeling more sluggish every time i put it back on.

When I put in the competition baffle I was dissapointed, yes, it was louder but not quite as deep sounding
(which I like). The obvious thing to me was the loss of low in torque. Then three days later I had a yo yo in
a truck messing with me so I figured to leave him to tinker with his vintage rust bucket. I'm telling you the top
end was up about 8 to 10 mph I couldnt believe the difference, but again where do you ride the most; flat out
or light to light and cruising. I am really torn between putting the stock baffle back in or leaving the comp baffle in
Oh by the way every bit of the packing has blown out of the competition baffle. Didn't take but a couple of weeks.
Mods: BAK, AIS, efi module ,and V&H. Nick............careful round the cages

There is only 1 Baffle made for the Warrior Propipe, the Stock Baffle. There are 3 Baffle's made for the Harley Davidson Propipe. The Billet End Cap is "ONLY" made for the Harley Davidson, BUT....all of the HD Baffle's and Billet End Cap can be retrofitted to fit the Warrior. Same diameter on the megaphone portion of the propipe on HD & Warrior propipe.

The only way the competition baffle will fit is with the Billet End Cap, but you will have to re-drill new mounting holes to secure the HD Billet End Cap to the Warrior Propipe Megaphone, easy enough to do.

You can purchase these parts anywhere that sells items for the propipe. Be it a HD Dealer, JPCycles, even Yamaha Dealers will order the items you need.

My Modified Racing Baffle is something entirely different. It is the Stock Baffle for the Warrior Propipe modified to retrofit the HD Billet End Cap. I hope this helps.

NICK, im the top end king, i love top speed VRS off the line stuff, im pretty sure the stock baffel i have in it now will hit the red line in fifth just like the competition baffel did, i havent done a top speed test yet, and my bike pulls harder now with my home made cool air set up with the modified speedsteer scoup on the top end since only cool rushing air get to the throttle boddies now, but if i remember my original stock baffel that came with the propipe and the BAK set up also pulled to 132-135, hitting the rev limiter,i rode the warrior to work today and really enjoy the rollons between 50- 60mph and up, they are alot stronger than before when I had the competition baffel in, i also like the deeper sound too.
