After some research I have decided to run a c/t on the rear of my 2002 RSW. Got a BFG g-force sport comp-2 size 225/45/17. From what iv'e read this will fit fine, but holy **** does this look big. Any one know if this will fit on the stock rim? Thanks in advance.

That BFGoodrich is the same tire and size I have and have no issues when lowered as long as there's a stronger spring. A 235 is a wide tire and you don't need to start off with it but it's fine. But with the little miles you'll be putting on that tire will last you years.
As far as double dark, yes you can go that way but you'll have to find a 130 tire and raise the fender but again it'll last you years.

I've been considering converting to the darkside for a while now. I was looking at the 225/45/17. I don't plan on lowering the rear end and I don't ride 2up very often, so as long as a 245 fits on the stock wheel with out widening it and I don't need to modify anything so theres no rubbing or bottoming out then I would much prefer the 245. Any thoughts?

Post the tire specs and the widest width to clear inside the swing arm that you have, and post the tire's overall height. Plus is your rear suspension stock or lowered.

Common tire size on stock swing arm: example Bridgestone g-Force Sport Comp2 225/45R17 on stock rear wheel

It depends on the brand and ratio. Manufacturers get really loose with sizes advertised versus physical sizes. It's best to go to the manufacturer website and dig for printed verifiable dimensions to compare to the Warrior's stock un-modified swing arm and of course bits back there that get in the way.

That's around the mileage you'll get out of that tire. If you want an in between tire use the Bfgoodrich Comp-2 A/S. That'll get you around 15-20k.

I have been thinking about going with a car or truck tire for years. I wasn't entirely sure how safe it would be or if it would even be allowed on a bike. The current build I am doing will have a fat rear end. I was planning to go with a 300mm Shinko. However, since reading this thread, I am wondering what other choices I have for this bike.

I can tell you this tire fits the stock wheel (its **** to install) and in turn it fits inside the stock swing arm. The tread is uniform on both halves so no odd pulling feeling. The sidewalls do not bulge. The tire height does not grow even in serious burnouts. No rubbing. But its tight.

Bridgestone g-Force Sport Comp2 225/45R17 on spare rear wheel assembly. I only use this for straight line fun.

I use Avon stock size 200's for all other riding. It's far more flikable and in emergency maneuvers and out in the real world I feel it's faster and more stable. Just my opinion.

But for massive burnouts . . . why waste a road tire, right!

I've NEVER considered putting a car tire on my Warrior but lately, I just go straight. Given the info and reviews in this thread, it's tempting to give it a shot with my next tire... Never say never, I guess.
